Yes, I'm Still Obsessed...
…with Alysa Liu.
The freedom, joy, and confidence she exuded on that ice is still what I want for my (and everyone else’s) 2026. Seeing her smile to Donna Summer’s MacArthur Park and get sassy to Pink Pantheress’ Stateside gave me life. So when on WWHL when Andy Cohen asked her to list the top five songs she wants to skate to next, I was all in.
#5: Fire in My Heart - Escape from New York
The eerie and sultry vibes of this track give my hips a mind of their own.
#4: CHIHIRO - Billie Eilish
When this album came out it was the only song I listened to for weeks
#3: Swan Lake - Tchaikovsky
Maybe that will shut Timothée Chalamet up
#2: Star - Mitski
This is one of those cinematic tracks you can get completely lost in.
#1: Capable of Love - PinkPantheress
I’m always a fan of heartache paired with fun beats.
When I watch Alysa Liu’s Olympic performances I’m always struck by a quote of hers that Johnny Weir says repeats: “I came here with one purpose and it was to share my art.” The way that girl shows up on the ice is the way I want to show up in the in the world. It gets hard sometimes. But Alysa Liu a fucking great reminder. And knowing that she gets fueled by the music she loves too definitely helps.
Thanks for reading.
Now go listen to some music.

Me too. Obsessed with what she listens to, what she wears, what she says. ❤️
